Who is Jade Michalski?

  • I was born right here in Catoosa County at the old Hutcheson Hospital in Fort Oglethorpe. I was raised here myself, and now I'm raising my own family here.

I know our streets, our struggles, and our neighbors because I've lived them. I was taught from a young age that communities are only as healthy as their most vulnerable members. That belief has guided my entire life.

  • My journey hasn't been a straight line. I've faced severe trauma, chronic illness (including EDS, POTS and MCAS), and the loss of loved ones. But I also learned how to survive, how to heal, and how to help others do the same.

    • As a CNA and Home Health Aide: I spent years caring for the elderly, holding their hands when they were scared, and learning that the most important thing I could do was listen.

    • As a Mother: I navigated the healthcare system for my children, fought for their education, and learned what it means to be a parent fighting to afford groceries & gas..

    • As a Founder: I started Village Without Borders to connect neighbors to resources, volunteers, and mutual aid. I didn't wait for permission to act. I just showed up.

  • In August 2025, I witnessed the violent arrest of a stranger, Orbey Jimenez. I stepped forward to document it, exercising my right to record police in public.

Instead of being heard, I was arrested. I was dragged, denied medical care for my injuries, and threatened with a strip search. My glasses were broken. My wrist was injured.

But I didn't look away. The entire event was livestreamed. The truth is on video.

That experience didn't break me. It clarified my mission. I am running because our county needs leaders who will face the truth, demand accountability, and protect the rights of every resident; not just the rich and famous.

  • I am not running to be a politician. I am running to be your neighbor. My work will be guided by four simple values:

    • People First. Always. No special interests. No "good ole boys." Just our neighbors.

    • Hands-on Commitment. I will be in the trenches with you, fixing problems, not just talking about them.

    • Transparent & Accountable. No secrets. Monthly reports. Live-streamed meetings.

    • Safe & Healthy Neighbors. Safety means food, shelter, healthcare, and dignity for everyone.

  • I've spent my life helping the people who get overlooked. Now, I want to bring that same compassion and grit to the County Commission.

I know what it's like to be ignored. I know what it's like to fight for basic needs. And I know that we are stronger when we help each other.

Let's build a Catoosa County where no one is left behind.

With love and determination, Jade Michalski
