My Commitments
To You
Already working. Now running.
Here’s what I’ll bring to the Commission for District 4. Every promise on this page is something a Commissioner can really do, as one of five votes. These are my commitments to you.
1. People First. Always.
The Promise: Growth that works for the families already here.
What I Will Do:
Stepping Aside: I’ll step aside from any vote where I, my family, or a business I’m tied to could profit, and I’ll say so on the record.
Open Finances: I’ll post my finances every year, going beyond what the state requires.
Practical Questions: On every rezoning, I’ll ask what roads, water, and school space it will need, and how it will affect your taxes.
Growth That Pays Its Own Way: I’ll push for new development to cover its own costs, so working families don’t carry them.
Early Notice: I’ll help neighbors hear about zoning changes early, with time to speak up.
Growth should make District 4 stronger for the families who already call it home.
2. Hands-on Commitment
The Promise: Same work boots. Bigger job.
What I Will Do:
Monthly Town Halls: I’ll hold a town hall in District 4 every month, moving between communities so no one is left out.
“Boots on the Ground” Days: I’ll spend one day every month doing hands-on service in District 4, like helping with cleanups or checking on neighbors, and I’ll report back on what I saw.
One Place to Report Problems: I’ll push for one simple way to report problems like mold, trash, and unsafe buildings, with every report tracked until it’s fixed.
A Direct Line: I’ll answer my own phone and email, and I’ll follow up.
I’ve spent years helping neighbors directly. I won’t stop now. I will be the Commissioner you can call.
3. Transparent & Accountable
The Promise: It’s your money. You should be able to see where it goes.
What I Will Do:
Meetings You Can Watch: I’ll support streaming and archiving every Commission meeting, and push to add work sessions too.
Monthly Report: I’ll publish a simple, one-page report every month showing how I voted, why, and where the money went.
Independent Contract Review: I’ll support a yearly independent review of big county contracts, with the results posted online.
Plain-Language Budget: I’ll push to put the county budget in plain language so anyone can read it.
The “Elephant” Pledge: I’ll tell you the truth, even when it’s uncomfortable. If I mess up, I’ll own it.
You deserve to know how your money is spent. Transparency isn’t a favor; it’s your right.
4. Safe & Healthy Neighbors
The Promise: A safe county takes care of its people.
What I Will Do:
Back Our First Responders: I’ll back our deputies, firefighters, and EMS with the staff and tools they need.
Crisis Response: I’ll work with the Sheriff, EMS, and local health partners on crisis teams, so a mental health call gets the right help fast.
Safe Rentals: I’ll push for clear rules and real follow-through on unsafe rentals, so mold, no heat, and broken plumbing get fixed.
Food for Every Neighbor: I’ll protect funding for food pantries, and go after state and federal grants for groceries and community gardens in areas with no nearby store.
Clean Water Checks: I’ll push for regular water testing in flood-prone areas and post the results.
A safe community is one where everyone has a home, food, and healthcare. That is the baseline.

If I don’t deliver, you have the right to hold me accountable. That is the deal.
